Description | 2-Amino-3-methoxypyridine also known as 3-methoxypyridin-2-amine, belongs to the class of organic compound known as aminopyridines and derivatives. These are organic heterocyclic compounds containing an amino group attached to a pyridine ring. Pyridine is a six-membered aromatic heterocycle which consists of one nitrogen atom and five carbon atoms. 2-Amino-3-methoxypyridine one of several aminomethoxypyridine isomers wherein the amino and methoxy groups are located in different positions around the pyridine ring. 2-Amino-3-methoxypyridine is formed during the combustion of cannabis and is therefore a constituent of cannabis smoke ( Ref:DOI ). |
